Our purpose, With Africa For Africa, is the foundation of our CSR approach. Our actions on the ground aim to promote equitable and sustainable growth. We develop programs responding to the needs of our employees and the communities in the territories where we operate. We help building more equitable, resilient, and forward-looking societies by promoting health, education, renewable energy, road safety, entrepreneurship, and social cohesion.
« We firmly believe that, by taking concrete and concerted action in close collaboration with our stakeholders, we can achieve meaningful and lasting change. »
Cécile Desrez, VP Human Resources, Communications & CSR.
ACTING FOR QUALITY HEALTHCARE
In Africa, public health issues are multiple and complex: high prevalence of communicable and non-communicable diseases, unequal access to care, inadequate medical infrastructure, circulation of falsified medicines, etc.
Through our CFAO Healthcare division, we ensure the secure distribution of quality medicines and guarantee their integrity from the point of storage to the pharmacy in many African countries.
Our health promotion program, Health by CFAO, is dedicated to our employees and their beneficiaries. It mainly targets high impact communicable and non-communicable diseases.
We also reinforce our commitment through partnerships with NGOs. Since 2021, we have been supporting ALIMA, a medical humanitarian organization responding to emergencies.
Since 2024, CFAO Healthcare has been working alongside OPALS to strengthen official medicine distribution networks in Africa and improve access to quality medicines.
In 2025, CFAO and the OPALS Foundation co-published a white paper entitled “Securing the medicine distribution network in Africa.”
This publication aims to:
• raise awareness of the dangers of falsified medicines
• call for concerted and coordinated action to ensure a reliable supply of quality medicines to the African continent.

PROMOTING TRAINING AND INTEGRATION
Training and professional integration are one of the pillars of our CSR strategy. Our goal is to promote access to school, strengthen skills, expand opportunities, and prepare the talent of tomorrow by intervening at every stage of the educational journey.
Through Education by CFAO, we offer a scholarship program for our employees’ children in secondary and higher education.
We also support young people in developing their skills and promoting their employability by supporting training structures adapted to the needs of the Continent, such as the NGO IECD, which allows young people to benefit from training courses leading to qualifications and diplomas.

PROMOTING RENEWABLE ENERGY
Through our CFAO Green Infra division, we invest in the renewable energy value chain to provide cleaner and more sustainable energy to people and businesses across the Continent.
Our strategy has two complementary objectives:
• reducing greenhouse gas emissions linked to our activities and those of our customers through energy efficiency and renewable energy solutions
• contributing to the development of green infrastructure to produce and provide access to clean and sustainable energy across the Continent

TRAINING IN ROAD SAFETY
As a major player in mobility in Africa, we are working to reducing road risks and ensuring the safety of all road users.
Our ANZEN approach to health and safety at work aims to prevent risks related to professional mobility. Tailored to the diversity of our activities, it trains employees in responsible driving rules and promotes a shared safety culture.
Since 2025, we have been supporting the VIA program in partnership with the TotalEnergies Foundation, which aims to raise awareness of road safety among young people.

FOSTERING ENTREPRENEURSHIP
Entrepreneurship is a key driver for job creation and strengthening local skills.
Since 2017, alongside the NGO IECD, we have been supporting dedicated programs that provide local entrepreneurs with the required skills to launch and sustain their businesses, generate sustainable income to support their families, and improve their living conditions in the long term.

SUPPORTING SOLIDARITY ACTIONS
Supporting local communities is very important to us. Each of our subsidiaries is encouraged to engage with its local community to promote social cohesion and sustainable development.
Since 2002, our CFAO Solidarity association has been supporting local initiatives led by NGOs and associations in collaboration with our subsidiaries.
