CFAO Healthcare Val de Reuil

Boulogne Billancourt, 10 July 2023 – CFAO Healthcare announces that it has broken ground for its new pharmaceutical facility at the heart of the Pharma Parc in Val de Reuil. This project will bring together the activities of its two current sites in Normandy, Grand Quevilly and Grand Launay, within a new 44,000 m² logistics platform.

CFAO Healthcare, leader in the African pharmaceutical market, is stepping up its development and strengthening its supply chain with the construction of a new warehouse in Normandy. The company has more than 500 supplier laboratories, 40 pharmaceutical distribution sites on the Continent and in the French overseas territories, as well as two licensed production sites in North Africa.

Located at the Pharma Parc in Val de Reuil, this new logistics site will enable the company to anticipate its strong growth. It will initially employ 150 people and will be dedicated to distributing medicines to more than 22 countries in sub-Saharan Africa and 6 French overseas territories.

Scheduled for completion in the second half of 2024, the building will meet the high standards of the pharmaceutical industry, and is intended to be exemplary in both its construction and its operation.

The energy used for operations will come from sustainable and local sources, with an energy mix based on the solar power plant installed on site and the recovery of waste heat from the neighbouring EDF Data Centre. A specific agreement has been reached with EDF and Dalkia (a subsidiary of the EDF Group), which will enable the new CFAO Healthcare site to achieve a level of energy sobriety that is probably unique in France on this scale.

Historically based in Normandy, through its two subsidiaries E.P. DIS and Continental Pharmaceutique, CFAO Healthcare has been able to count on local players, the Seine-Eure conurbation, the town council and the prefecture, to prepare and support the establishment of this new site and contribute to local development.

Speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony, Jean-Marc Leccia, CEO and Chairman of CFAO Healthcare, said: “This new site will strengthen our pharmaceutical ecosystem and will enable us to absorb the growth in our rapidly expanding business. I would like to thank all the partners who are working with us on this superb project. ”
