Abidjan, 12 July 2022 – With a presence in Côte d’Ivoire since 2015, CFAO Consumer Retail strengthens its network by integrating the Leader Price store network in the economic capital.
CFAO Consumer Retail in Côte d’Ivoire today announced the acquisition of the five Leader Price stores in Abidjan, whose franchise had been operated since 2019 by the Bernard Hayot Group (GBH). With this acquisition, CFAO Consumer Retail now totals 13 points of sale and is continuing its territorial expansion in the city.
Each of these shops is strategically located in the Ivorian economic capital, Cocody Riviera, Cocody 2 Plateaux, Golf Ambassade, Zone 4 and Yopougon, and provides CFAO Consumer Retail with more than 4,000m2 of additional selling surface to its existing points of sale.
With two shopping centres, PlaYce Marcory and PlaYce Palmeraie, 1 Carrefour hypermarket, 4 Carrefour market supermarkets and 3 Supeco supermarkets, CFAO Consumer Retail in Côte d’Ivoire is a well-known player in the Abidjan market, developing point of sale formats tailored to the needs of Ivorian consumers.

CFAO Consumer Retail is also in the process of building three new supermarkets, which will bring the total number of CFAO Consumer Retail stores to 16 hypermarkets and supermarkets, not forgetting the 6 shops in its brand club: Lacoste, Jules, La Grande Récré and Beauty Success.
