School relations : CFAO plays the game!

In order to develop its relations with schools, CFAO committed to many initiatives aimed at improving student's awarness, and seeking out high potential profiles. This approach has been particularly realised by the participation of CFAO, under the aegis of PPR, in the international competition on business management strategy and simulation, The Global Management Challenge Euromanager (see box).

CFAO has chosen to sponsor three teams of students, including two from the African Business Club*. By providing its expertise and its business knowledge, CFAO also seek to make students aware of its, in a different way, and to forge strong relations with them.

* The African Business Club is an association grouping together African students from the French "grandes écoles" and universities.

CFAO also working on mapping target schools
( business schools, management schools...) in Africa; one of the key factors in forecasting strong demand for recruitment which will appear in the years come.

Established in 1979, THE GLOBAL MANAGEMENT CHALLENGE EUROMANAGER includes 46 000 candidates (executives, managers and students) coming from all countries in the world, for the title of "virtual manager of the year". The competition is based on a very sophisticated computer programme, which incorporates the high-risk environment of the business world : logistical problems, political conflicts, computer viruses are all events, which the teams have to deal with.
